Happy Autumn to You!

Hello friend! Last month I had so much fun taking part in the Second Hand Challenge that was started by the incredible Charlotte at Rate Cute. I wanted to take part in Second Hand September and celebrate some of my favourite second hand clothing, so this was a great opportunity. Each day for a week, I combined my illustrations and photographs with the prompts given. For example, one was ‘Your favourite charity shop find’. I really enjoyed the challenge of creating a new drawing everyday and also having an excuse to wear clothes that weren’t pyjamas or joggers! Anyone else ONLY wearing items that have an elasticated waist recently? I love the autumnal feel of the image above, this outfit was perfect for the start of the season! See all my illustrations for the challenge over on my Instagram here

For a bit of behind the scenes of this challenge, you could watch my latest You Tube Video (linked below). It shows how I created the illustrations and how I faced the challenge of creating 7 sustainable outfits! You can also see me freak out in real time when one of my teen idols shared my work on their Instagram stories! Whaaat!? (Spoiler: I have no chill.)

This video is all about the behind the scenes of me taking part in the Second Hand September 7 Day Challenge.

Huge New Card Release

I have had a HUGE card release on my Etsy shop. My largest release yet! There are cards for all occasions over there, so if you have anything coming up and need something cute and cheerful definitely have a look!
New Card Collection

Coming soon!

Next month I am focussing hugely on my Christmas collection, so I will tell you all about it in the next newsletter! Keep an eye out on my Instagram for the first look at some brand new products.

Here is the part where I will recommend a couple of things I have enjoyed in this past month.

Things to watch:

This is Paris

I watched the Paris Hilton Documentary on Youtube, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it! It really goes where I didn’t expect and Paris opens up about some terrible events from her childhood, and how it has impacted how she lives her life now. I love Paris Hilton, which is a feeling and outlook I didn’t expect to have! You can see more of my review in this video here.

Wallace & Gromit the Curse of the Were-Rabbit

I absolutely love watching animation of all kinds, and this YouTube video reminded me of the absolute DELIGHT that is Wallace & Gromit the Curse of the Were-Rabbit. I hadn’t watched it since it came out in 2005, so thoroughly enjoyed another trip to this wonderful world. It’s a slice of absolute joy form beginning to end, I definitely recommend it for something that’s is GUARANTEED to make you feel good! Something about Aardman animation is so charming and funny, I was smiling all the way through it! It can be found on Netflix.

I hope you are well and keeping warm. Speak to you soon

Love

Jess
